Description of this Course

This course covers Instrumentation Training including PID Loop Training and is intended for anyone who requires the knowledge to design install and maintain instrumentation systems within their operation.

My name is Jeff Sharman and I will be your instructor during this training. I have many years of practical experience in all aspects of instrumentation as well as delivering training both face to face and online. I also hold a SAQA Further Education and Training Certificate in Measurement Control and Instrumentation. This qualification is South African but is recognised in many countries internationally.

The course begins with a general introduction to the key instrumentation concepts that will be covered and then builds progressively through the various measurement and control topics.

Topics Covered

During this course I will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to instrumentation for measurement and control
  • Pressure measurement
  • Level measurement
  • Temperature measurement
  • Flow measurement
  • PID control including loop tuning

This is a comprehensive course covering both measurement principles and practical control concepts.

The course consists mainly of video tutorials where I explain the different aspects of instrumentation and PID control and demonstrate how they are applied in practice.

There are quizzes after each section to help reinforce learning and build confidence.

Once you have completed the course you will receive a certificate of completion.

The more you understand the subject the more confident you will become in applying it in real-world situations.

If you are serious about learning instrumentation and PID control then this course is for you.
